I walk through this beaten landscape, only to find what's left of the shore. Someone made this. Someone took the time to lay out all these rocks so that the water would not erode the shoreline. This is dedicated to him. Whoever he is, whatever he does for a living, this is for him. I will always remember you.

Taken with my camera on my spankin new sd card. Only thing I did to the photograph was darken the barrell in the background. It was too bright and took the focus away from the actual shot. Everything else was left alone.
Taken in Aperture Priority mode with AP set to +1.3.
Comments greatly appreciated.
**Edit: Added a black soft light layer to add less exposure to the snow and add more tone to the shadows and reflection.
I like the angle, adds to the interesting composition. I dont like the bin in the background though, its quite distracting, so is the tree/bush shape in the upper left corner, they draw your eye away from the rocks and reflection. Also the snow is overexposed but i dont think this is a huge problem as snow looks its best pure and white. A tighter crop, removing the bin and the shape would really improve this and you'd have a nice shot on your hands hope this helps.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I think the snow is over exposed in a way that is too extreme. The barrel at the back is taking too much attention.
